Hi, I’m Heike.
I design interactions with data and machines.
Currently I’m studying Interface Design at the FH Potsdam, focusing on user experience design and data visualization. Besides I’m working on a student research project at the the Urban Complexity Lab. Together with my great colleague Lennart Hildebrandt I explore new ways of using maps for data visualizations.
Working at W.O.M. World of Medicine GmbH I gained experiences in designing interfaces and fostering user experience for medical equipment used in minimal invasive surgery.
In my design process, I’m eager to deploy an exploratory approach. For me, only trying out new things leads to innovative results. I enjoy working on the concept and design of user interfaces and visualizations, with the aim to develop an answer to people’s needs, offering a functional as well as emotional quality.
I feel honored holding a scholarship by the German National Academic Foundation Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes and being a Fulbright-Alumna.
I'm always looking for interesting projects and people to work with.
